Hello, my name is Liam Edey and I have completed a stem specific secondary education program at TRU and I have completed a degree in Biochemistry at UVIC.
As long as I can remember I have always enjoyed teaching and educating others. This truly manifested first with coaching and tutoring various sports and subjects inside and outside of school.
I have developed a strength for quickly building rapport with students and I have found students open up to me quite fast which is an ingredient for the supportive and healthy classroom I strive for.
Science is the core of my life and no science isn’t exciting to me, so I believe I bring in a lot of enthusiasm to the classroom because I know the role science has played in my life.
My goal is to have an inclusive classroom where any student can find at least some connection or interest through my teachings in science no matter their background. I think that is so important for students’ futures and the future of trust people have in science.
